This apartment is located in one of the most distinctive Bauhaus-inspired buildings on Budapest’s Belgrád Quay, offering direct views of the UNESCO World Heritage panorama. The living and dining areas were designed to celebrate the everyday spectacle of the Danube, Gellért Hill, and the Citadella. The concept focused on creating open, spacious communal zones ideal for gatherings, while maintaining intimacy and calm in the private rooms.

The interior’s refined yet warm atmosphere is defined by natural oak chevron parquet flooring, light textures, and a subtle color palette. The kitchen is functional but not meant for extensive cooking — its value lies in its close connection to the dining and living areas, allowing the panoramic view and social life to remain at the heart of the space.

The master bedroom functions as a separate suite with its own walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, ensuring complete privacy. The children’s room also has a dedicated bathroom and toilet, providing extra comfort in everyday life. The living room serves as the social heart of the home, where the television plays a central role — the owners wanted a space that allows them to enjoy sports events in maximum comfort. The apartment’s distinctive character lies in the layering of historical context and contemporary interior design. Built in 1938 to the plans of architect Károly Möller, the building at 2 Belgrád Quay reflects the spirit of Bauhaus while naturally fitting into Budapest’s iconic Danube riverfront. The apartment’s interior continues this tradition with contemporary elegance — honoring the values of the past while meeting the needs of modern urban living.
