Duna view apartment
Located in one of the most beautiful examples of Bauhaus houses in Budapest, we designed an apartment in which our client wanted to see Hungarian motifs. A prosperous city at the turn of the century, we have chosen Art Nouveau architectural elements, which are so dear to our heart, from various buildings in Budapest. The motifs on the buildings of Ödön Lechner, a prominent architect of the time, inspired the tiles used in the bathrooms, while the living room is decorated with an ornament from the facade of the so-called Tündérpalota (‘Fairy Palace’), a notable building designed by Lechner. While maintaining the Bauhaus character of the apartment, we have freely combined various styles within the framework of contemporary design, allowing us to create a traditional yet modern, an elegant yet homely living space.
